Jack Armistead Pinto
May 6, 2006 ~ December 14, 2012

Jack's bell is G4. When G4 rings, we remember an incredibly loving and vivacious young boy, appreciated by all who knew him for his lively and giving spirit and steely determination.

Jack was an avid participant in a wide variety of activities, including flag football, baseball, basketball, wrestling, and snow skiing. He was a spunky sports fanatic, an athletic first-grader, who loved the New York Giants. His favorite player, Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz, honored his tiny fan at that Sunday's game, writing "Jack Pinto My Hero" on his cleats.

"He was very happy-go-lucky," says Jen Maksel, mother of his best friend, Bryce. "Jack was such a fun, active little boy. Bryce will miss him terribly."

The family released a statement saying Jack was an "inspiration to all those who knew him."

"Jack loved school, reading, wrestling, skiing and football. Most of all, Jack loved to play with his friends and keep up with his big brother," said his family. "He had a wide smile that would simply light up the room, and while we are all uncertain as to how we will ever cope without him, we choose to remember and celebrate his life, not dwelling on the loss, but instead on the gift that we were given and will cherish in our hearts forever."

In life and in death, Jack will forever be remembered for the immeasurable joy he brought to all who had the pleasure of knowing him, a joy whose wide reach belied his six short years.

Jack will never be forgotten. A bell for Jack will always ring at Christmas.
